In the 21st century, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) have become increasingly important as we wrestle with the challenges of both globalization and a knowledge-based economy. To succeed in an information-based and highly technological society, the youth of today need to develop their skills in STEM subjects to levels far beyond what was considered acceptable in past years. That's why, in 2015, BigByte began to take a small group of lucky students on a study tour of Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. While traveling through each country, our students would have the chance to visit and attend workshops at world-renowned institutions and learn from experts in the STEM fields. Microbiology, robotics, engineering, particle physics, DNA science, and nanotechnology are just some of the subjects the students will learn about.

Aimed at students between the ages of 12-18, our European study tour aims to spark a curiosity for the STEM subjects within our students. We believe this is a wonderful chance for young teenagers to find out about the cutting edge scientific and technological research happening in leading research centers and universities in Europe, but also a chance for adventure and new opportunities. During the study tour, students have the opportunity to take part in many exciting outdoor activities, such as kayaking, ziplining, stand-up paddleboarding, cycling, and geocaching. Similar to our other international trips, the European study tour continues to encourage our students to have an independent mindset, where making your own decisions and taking ownership of your actions is a part of everyday life. In doing this, we strongly believe that our students will be empowered to not only be more self-sufficient but also to be more creative and innovative in their later lives.

Call now to reserve a place for your child on next summer's journey!
